Lighting projects like this don’t come along very often and it was a privilege for Luminous Solutions to be given the opportunity to consult, design the lighting and supply the luminaires and controls for this prestigious project.

The site was very challenging due to the constraints of the infrastructure, possible luminaire mounting positions, the need to avoid any unwanted glare to the spectators and a glass walled gymnasium on one of the track corners, as well as the elite athletes or local community groups who use the space.

Luminous Solutions worked in partnership with a fantastic and professional team at Coops EMBS who installed the lighting and containment infrastructure and Helvar who provided the DALI lighting controls and scene setting system with touch screen control at both trackside and in the main reception, giving the end user full control of the lighting based on their exact requirements. Helvar also provided the commissioning.

All LED linear luminaires have fully replaceable drivers, optics and LED modules giving a high level of sustainability and prolonged luminaire lifetime.
